Casa de Campo is a 7,000+ acre resort in the Caribbean south east side of the Dominican Republic. It is considered by many to be the most complete and finest resort in the Caribbean and the epitome of Caribbean elegance.
General Information
Accommodations in Casa de Campo are available in the Casa de Campo Hotel
and private villas. A new Four Seasons hotel, to be known as Four Seasons
Casa de Campo, is under construction.
Because of its three famous Pete Dye Golf courses, Casa de Campo is especially well known for its golf. However there is a range of activities and facilities to suit all interests, especially for kids and families. And in 7,000 acres there are countless number of settings for total relaxation.
Casa de Campo truly has something for everybody. In October 2007 Travel & Leisure announced the results of family travel readers survey: Casa de Campo was selected as the #1 Family Friendly resort in the Caribbean.
Conde Nast magazine awarded Casa de Campo the prestigious 2007 Gold Key Award and ranked it in the Top 100 World's Best Places to Stay. It is no wonder recent American Presidents including Jimmy Carter, George Bush Sr and Bill Clinton have enjoyed its golf and accommodations.
Guests of Golf Villa 119 have access to all the facilities of the Casa de Campo including the three Pete Dye golf courses. In fact Golf Villa 119 is on the 11th fairway of the Links course.
On arrival, our manager will take guests at Golf Villa 119 to register on at the front desk of Casa de Campo Hotel and pay a $25 (per villa) daily fee to receive a guest card for the hotel's facilities, and make arrangements for billing for any use of the phone in the villa. They also issue an ID Security pass for the front gate of Casa de Campo.
In addition to the golf, the most popular activities for the guests at Casa de Campo are the beach and water sports, biking (available for rental), horseback riding and polo, swimming in one of the many pools, running along numerous trails, a shooting center, spa treatment center and a world class tennis facility.
Marina
One of the most dynamic additions to the Casa de Campo resort
is the Marina which opened in 2001. The Marina is a collection
of chic restaurants, cafes, shops, the Casa de Campo Yacht Club, and
harbor which is home port to some magnificent sports fishing boats, ocean
going yachts and sail boats. It is also home base for several regattas
during the year.
The plaza is a popular place in the afternoon and evening for drinks and dinner. Residents in many of the condominiums built at the Marina take the scene in from their balconies.
Half and full day deep sea fishing excursions are available sailing out of the Marina. Also, sunset catamaran rides, The Chavón River Paddleboat Cruise, can be arranged or a sail to nearby Catalina Island.
